One of my favorite photographs from Gdynia Orłowo. Strong wind and an approaching storm left the pier almost empty. I stood with a tripod, worried that the wind might move the camera, while heavy clouds and moving water created dramatic reflections from the lights. The reflections remind me slightly of Van Gogh's brushwork, while the blurred water adds movement. From the beginning I saw this scene as a panorama - a quiet moment just before the storm.
