Venice seen in black and white - calm, geometric and full of everyday life. From the beginning I saw this scene monochromatically. What attracted me most were the leading lines converging in the depth of the frame and creating an almost symmetrical composition. On the left, a man looking toward the center of the image helps guide the viewer's eye, while on the right another man is leaving the frame, looking in the opposite direction. This gives the photograph a natural rhythm and a sense of movement, even though it captures an ordinary moment in the life of the city. The small bird appeared by chance. I had been waiting on the bridge, watching the space and waiting for the right moment.
