During three days in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the clouds became my main subject. Peaceful Alpine houses sit beneath enormous clouds wrapping around the mountain peaks, revealing only fragments of the landscape above. I saw the scene immediately in black and white, which emphasizes the texture and weight of the clouds. I love the contrast between the quiet life below and the dramatic, almost mysterious world unfolding above it.
